Helotes, Texas - On Thursday, January 11, 2012 security cameras at Our Lady of Guadalupe captured a San Antonio couple walk to the altar of the church. A short time later, at approximatley 315 PM a gunshot was heard and police were called.
When they arrived, they found a man and woman shot lying between a baptismal font and two steps that lead up to the altar.
Police spokesman, Lt. Elliott Rodrigues said the motion sensitive camera shut off between the time they approached the altar and the murder-suicide took place.
It is unknown whether the couple was married, but the Monsignor said the couple were not registered members of the church parish.
