On Friday, September 10, 2010, a man was found dead inside an Amarillo church.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of a church volunteer who was painting Sunday school classrooms.

Con Manh Pham was in custody, with bond set at $50,000.

58-year-old Dinh Van Pham was inside our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church on Friday afternoon when he was stabbed multiple times with a knife. When officers arrived, they were approached by Con Manh Pham, who fell to the ground. Con Manh Pham also belonged to the church.

Investigators said they knew of no dispute between the two men.

After the interview was conducted through a Vietnamese interpreter he was identified as the suspect, in Din Van Pham's murder. Con Manh Pham, of Amarillo was arrested for murder. After he was released from the hospital, Pham was booked into the Potter County Dentention Center.

Investigators say that Pham didn't volunteer to help with any work inside the church. Both Din Van Pham and Con Manh Pham were members of the church.
